I was more than grateful to arrive at my desk this morning and learn that Coco De Mer has just launched their new Icons campaign in an exclusive collaboration with supermodel, photographer, icon, and my love interest, Helena Christensen. Naturally, I had to review all of the imagery very, very carefully. It took me two hours.
As well as being the face of the Icons, Helena, incredibly, art-directed and photographed herself (you can see the remote shutter in some of the shots) wearing the collection from the intimacy of her home in New York in a bid to truly capture ‘The Ultimate Female Gaze’. I could never have guessed this was a self-shoot when looking, I think that makes the result even more spectacular!
Featuring 35 styles incorporating 14 new designs and 7 updated styles from the Coco de Mer archive, the Icons range consists of a series of timeless, elegant pieces that exude confidence, each reflecting Helena’s own effortless style. The all-black collection of refined silhouettes in luxurious and opulent textiles includes silk slips, robes and teddies, bodysuits and daring two-piece sets with cut out detailing.
